About me
Based in East Sussex, I am a 36 year old figurative artist and mother of two Neurodivergent boys. I create deeply personal work shaped by motherhood, loss and growth. Working primarily in Charcoal- originally chosen for it’s practicality around children- I have developed a deep connection to it’s raw, expressive power.
The loss of both parents just before the birth of my first son profoundly informs my exploration of grief, resilience and transformation. Blending surrealism and realism, my work evokes both the dreamlike and the tangible. Each piece is a visual diary reflecting identity, motherhood and the quiet strength of women. Through my art I like to celebrate vulnerability, connection and the beauty found in both darkness and light.
